This intersection on Route 35 and Talmadge Road was the site of the Country Cottage. For many years of the Memory Lane Bar and Pizzaria. The building recently burned down and it is now a vacant lot.
The Palantonio Family operated Esso Service Stations in West Long Branch, Oakhurst, and this one on Route 35 Southbound, approximately across from where Dow Avenue and Carol Avenue are today.
