The Shore Motel, Restaurant and Lounge
The neon-lit Shore Motel at Highway 35 and Sunset Avenue -now home to a Burger King -billed itself as the "newest, largest and most modern motel at the Jersey Shore" with a Hollywood swimming pool, sprawling cocktail lounge and restaurant, gift shop, and dancing. Like many Ocean Township businesses along Highway 35 in the 1950s, owners E. Primavera and sons upped the motel's prestige by claiming an Asbury Park address.
