The Cypress Inn
Wanamassa's landmark Cypress Inn -billed as "The Shore's Foremost Steak House" by owner Tommy Varnum and Manager Clark H. Chambers -was located just north of the Asbury Park circle at Route 35 and Logan Road. When a glassed-in dining atrium was added, it-famously incorporated an existing tree that jutted through the roof. A Land Rover dealership now occupies that spot.
